A morning With Tim Reynish @ 2:31:00 PM
with Blessings from Capt.Yusri, we managed to have Tim Reynish in the house! Master Class of knowing that forte, is no longer something that emphasizes on loud.
Ok, we admit, we aren't really professional musicians in Singapore, we didn't really know whom Tim Reynish was. When he came, we all just thought that he is like some friendly old man, wearing a Forte is 轻声量 t-shirt. Seriously, he didn't have much difference with some old ang-mo man in some kopitiam, just that a lil bit much older and happier? But the moment he took out his baton, wow. DIE. It was then the band felt that we've got someone really important coming. I mean, with the philwinds president accompanying him... we should have known.
I mean, he conducts the philwinds and all... and he compares us with the SAF band and the philwinds.. gosh. Everyone became alert suddenly, to the conducting to the movement and all.
After that lesson, playing the trombone wasn't that much of a difficult task for me. I was always a much softer kind of player, and when he wanted softer and softer and softer sound each time, woots! Bingo!!!!! yay! I know know much more about phrasing in the band. Hopefully we can achieve much better balance after the master class.

During the master class..
During Breaks. No way I am gonna exchange my baby with anything else! (ok, maybe a date with tohoshinki might do the trick).
Pictures: Taken by naffy! She took my hp in order to get my tamagochi! But nvm, I got my hp back, safely!
After band prac, each individual sections actually rushed and fought just to get a picture taken.
He had to leave for something, so everything was done in a fast fast chop chop manner.
As we were taking, we remembered that we have another trombonist with us that day. We had philwind's trombonist, Mr. Adrain Cheong with us. He came to accompany Mr Tim Reynish I guess. I hoped we didn't give him a shock. He was like sitting down at one side, then we shouted trombone section take photo! Then the whole section was like looking at him, waving at him to catch his attention. Then finally when he saw us, he looked a little bit clueless and pointed at himself, to confirm we were waving at him. We quickly said yes darn loudly and he came running to us, to get this photo taken. Yay!!! Photo with 2 important people taken!
Lastly, we had guests on that day. IJC came to join us for the master class. So here are the pic with combined trombone section, with jassy's trademark! Woots!
So, trombone section reunited!
After the morning session, we have decided to go for some steamboat at Jaron's place. It will be up in the next entry!
Piece of good news: my shirt is here!!! AHHH!! I know looks pretty dumb, but lets just say I will travel down to Orchard later just to get the shirt and back. Woots!
