ChiaYi band festival @ 1:53:00 PM
Don't really know why RPWS is there for? Well, We are there for the ChiaYi City international Band festival. Some rather cool shit thing was that, we were placed and featured among one of the excellent bands around the world.
Captain Yusri's photo was rather weird though. I heard him "complained" about that.
Hahahaha! Next time, if there is a next time, we will put better looking photos alright! Lol!
One thing about this festival was that, we really received much attention. During our performance in the hall, we were actually quite stressed up because those people whom are attention are really hardcore music lovers and all. The bands before us were really darn strong and all.
Though we were shakey at the beginning, but we managed ourselves well at the later part.
The audience were rather captured when we started to play pieces from Singapore. I think the audience really enjoyed themselves as they participated in clapping their hands and shouting hey hey hey and Hoi! LoL! I guess this is an unique selling point of the band, audience interaction!
We ended the performance with Overture Jubiloso. Guess what, RPWS actually received standing ovation!
Sherline cried a little with everyone teary-eyed when the audience stood up and cheered. Willie was rather touched too, He couldn't stop talking about it for the entire night! What can i say, it;s like they did it naturally. No one was "forced" to do it or I see others cheering so i cheered that kinda thing. Actually made me felt that I was on cloud nine.
Guess what, unlike other bands, they actually shouted encore! the whole hall asked for an encore, which RPWS didn't expect nor prepared for! THe whole lot of us were on stage thinking of what to play.. we didn't have an encore piece! Everyone was looking around, smiling, clueless including Captain Yusri. In the end, Captain Yusri made a move, and decided to play Moonlight represents my heart. The crowd was rather delighted, as it was something like their national song or what, as they sang along~ =D
All in all, it was an great experience. All the hard work, the fights and all, was worth it.
